5/13/2024 I don’t even know where so start- if you are considering this property, just book it. You will not be disappointed. We were here for MSU graduation, 60th birthday, and kicking cancer’s butt. The property is magical and soul soothing. Comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. And the views- so much history inside and out. Book now!

5/04/2024 Absolutely stunning! My family and I have stayed at a few airbnbs on our trip and this was by the far the best one. Secluded, beautiful views, rustic and antique cabin feel with modern amenities. Saw lots of wildlife and the stars at night are beautiful. If ever back out this way we will be stopping in again. The drive back is long and bumpy but that just adds to the experience and we honestly liked it better that way.

Shepherds Retreat is a truly wonderful vacation home! Everything was over the top and I would give it six out of five stars for a rating. Modern amenities in a secluded setting. Private with beautiful views in every direction. We hope to be back this summer. Thank you for your hospitality.

Shepard's retreat was everything we could have hoped for in an airbnb for a family gathering! We appreciated the location. It was peaceful, private, and gorgeous! With lots of wildlife to watch and close to great recreation. The home was well stocked with everything you need to cook a family meal. The special care in providing a pack and play and other children's items was an added bonus for my 1 year old nephew. The decor was so neat and had us walking around discovering new things all weekend! We would most definitely recommend "the wind castle" to anyone looking for a comfortable stay outside of Livingston.

11/09/2023. This place is very remote with wildlife almost every day. Bring what you need because it is a waze out there. Very quiet and peaceful.

10/12/2023. Pictures don’t do this property justice! Such a hidden gem, if you really want to get out in nature with big bright stars - no lights for miles - and lots of animals to marvel at then do yourself a favor and come here for a couple of days and rejuvenate in the vistas. Aside from the “pet deer” who come right up to the windows for their breakfast (was awoken more than one day to the tapping of antlers on the window as they nibbled) we saw bear, moose, badger, elk, a wolf, coyotes and lots of antelope. All from the windows or the yard. There is also a pair of golden eagles who live in the area and fly around throughout the day. Judson was wonderful, so gracious and accommodating throughout our whole stay. We’re so glad we found this place and will definitely be back!
